The entrance to the LCC in 2016

At our General Committee, earlier this week, we agreed to send a motion called “Ending the ‘hostile environment’ – justice for the Windrush generation” to Labour Party Conference. It calls for the ending of the “hostile environment” and the repeal of the 2014 Immigration Act. In addition, we passed motions on Brexit, reaffirming Labour’s support for the six tests, to oppose an inadequate Tory deal, to bring down the Government and support a 2nd referendum. We also passed a comprehensive motion on rebuilding the social security system. Three other motions were debated and passed; our delegates to conference will be voting to get these subjects adopted as Labour Party policy.
