The Council election is on the 5th May this year. Here are some important dates to make sure you don’t lose your vote.


 Mon 21 March Notice of Election – start of the election process


 Wed 6 April @ 16:00


Statement of Persons Nominated – official list of candidates announced
 Wed 13 April Mayoral candidate address booklet published on the website


 Thu 14 April @ 24:00


Registration Deadline – if you are not registered, you can register online. If not registered, you can’t vote.
 Tue 19 April @17:00 Postal Vote Application deadline, this can be done by post if you have a printer or email if you have an email account and a printer/scanner. If applying by post, you’ll need time for that to be delivered.


 Thu 21 April Mayoral candidate address booklet sent to all voters by post


 Tue 26 April @17:00


Proxy Vote Application deadline
 Thu 28 April


First day to replace lost or spoilt postal votes
 Thursday 5 May POLLING DAY – polling stations open 7am to 10pm
