The Council election is on the 5th May this year. Here are some important dates to make sure you don’t lose your vote.
|Mon 21 March||Notice of Election – start of the election process
| Wed 6 April @ 16:00
|Statement of Persons Nominated – official list of candidates announced|
|Wed 13 April||Mayoral candidate address booklet published on the website
| Thu 14 April @ 24:00
|Registration Deadline – if you are not registered, you can register online. If not registered, you can’t vote.|
|Tue 19 April @17:00||Postal Vote Application deadline, this can be done by post if you have a printer or email if you have an email account and a printer/scanner. If applying by post, you’ll need time for that to be delivered.
|Thu 21 April||Mayoral candidate address booklet sent to all voters by post
| Tue 26 April @17:00
|Proxy Vote Application deadline|
| Thu 28 April
|First day to replace lost or spoilt postal votes|
|Thursday 5 May||POLLING DAY – polling stations open 7am to 10pm|
