On Thursday, Vicky was re-elected as MP for Lewisham Deptford with a majority of 32,913. The other two Lewisham constituencies also returned Labour MPs – both Janet Daby in Lewisham East and Ellie Reeves in Lewisham West and Penge.

After the election, Vicky said:

Thank you for re-electing me to represent Lewisham Deptford as your MP. There is no greater honour. But I’m devastated that we lost the General Election and we’re likely stuck with the Tories for the next five years.

 

I promise I will always fight for our community. The Labour Party must now listen and learn from those communities who chose not to vote for us this time. As a northern lass adopted by Lewisham Deptford I will play my part in ensuring this happens.
